Penuche is an adorable low rider, she is an aussie/corgi/?? mix. We pulled her mother a few months ago, Wiglet, who was a corgi/aussie mix (dad was aussie/mom was corgi).  Penuche is around 1 1/2 yrs old.  She is very terrified of people as she was pretty much ingnored and left to her own devices.  She does well with other dogs and is trying to play with the foster's dogs!   Her foster parents are working with her and she seems to be doing better with the husband (her former owner was a woman).  We will update when we have more.  She is fostered in Thonotasassa, FL  NS2745

Kozmo is 5 yrs old, he's an Aussie/Border Collie cross. Kozmo is a bigger boy, weighing in at 70 lbs.

He is fostered in a home with 2 other dogs; he's having a blast with one but the other is deaf/blind and pushy, something Kozmo isn't appreciating.

According to his previous owner he's good with men/women/children and cats (foster doesn't have cats). He is still new to us so more info as we get to know him.

Kozmo is fostered in Tampa, FL

BearBear came in as a stray from a local shelter; he's pretty timid but we can tell he'll come around. He's already trusting his foster parents and is acclimating into the pack (2 other dogs). Shelter says he's about 4 but we feel he may be a bit older. BearBear was so matted the shelter couldn't even tell if he was neutered or not. Thankfully they had him shaved down and bathed for us and found that he is neutered!! He has been vetted all except a heartworm test. Right now BearBear is just taking it easy.  He's not thrilled with a leash so his foster home is just letting him drag it around and be chill. They will start working with him once he's decompressed. We think he's going to be a sweet heart of a Bear! BearBear is fostered in Ormond Beach, FL  NSXXXX
Blue Chaser Blue Chaser is a friendly, happy purebred Aussie “of a certain age” who was surrendered to our rescue by his owner who could no longer care for him. He is a beautiful blue merle with copper trim, weighs 45 pounds and is 10-12 years old. Blue Chaser has slightly diminished hearing and vision, but hey, he is not a youngster!! He gets around fine and can hear when you call. Blue Chaser is housebroken, crate-trained, walks very well on a leash and loves to ride in the car. He is just starting to learn his basic commands.  Blue Chaser spent most of his life alternating between a small, dirt-floor kennel and a very small crate, and so he is just learning about the world. He loves people and gets along great with other dogs. He has not been cat tested. Blue Chaser is a lower energy guy who does not play games or run after balls, but he loves to take walks, loves to roll in the grass, and loves to just stroll around and sniff in the yard. And of course, Blue Chaser loves to be wherever the humans are, especially if they have a dog cookie or two!!  Blue Chaser still has some medical problems that require treatment. We are placing him on medical hold while we work to make him as healthy as possible.  NS3207
Young Zeke is such a sweet and friendly little guy! This Aussie mix has a very beautiful, VERY thick blue merle coat and a full tail. He weighs 44 pounds and is about 3 years old. We are just starting our evaluation and so far we know that he loves people, dogs, riding in the car, snuggles, and did we mention that he loves people and is one happy guy?? Young Zeke has a foot injury and we are having him evaluated at the vet school now. We will get this fixed! Stay tuned as we will post updates here. Young Zeke is fostered in Cumming, GA.  NSXXXX

Dax (beautiful blue merle male) has joined our little group. Dax just turned two in March. He's a bigger boy weighing in at around 50 lbs, but it's 50lbs of love bug! This boy loves life and all people, he's never met a stranger.

We don't know how he is with cats since his foster home doesn't have cats. He can be very exuberant and it's gotten him in trouble in his foster home with one of their dogs a time or two. His foster mom is teaching him PLACE (to stay on his mat) and that will help him with his exuberance .He is a quick learner too! She is also teaching him to walk nicely on leash and he's doing a great job.

Dax loves to play fetch! He loves also loves to play with the female aussie in his foster home, they spend a lot of time playing bitey face or chasing each other. Right now Dax is not a dog park type of dog, he gets too excited with all the commotion.

We would love to place him a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard so that he and his buddy can run and play with no worries.
We want him in a home that will take him to obedience
classes as he would benefit from this a lot.
Dax is a sweet boy who will make
someone a great companion!

He is fostered in Fort Pierce, FL

Little Gypsy

Little Gypsy is a sweet little female purebred Aussie in need of a new home. She is 6-7 years old, weighs 36 pounds, and her coat is a beautiful deep mahogany color. She is housebroken, loves her crate, rides nicely in the car and walks very well on leash. Little Gypsy is respectful of the furniture in her foster home (no furniture jumper here!) and knows some basic commands.

Little Gypsy loves people! She is a little shy in new situations but once she is comfortable she has the cutest, happy wiggle-butt. Little Gypsy is a low-to-medium energy girl who loves to explore – the house, the yard, everything is interesting to this cutie. And when the exploring is done she loves to hang out with her foster mom, getting belly rubs, napping and watching the world go by. Little Gypsy is fine with other dogs but she is not interested in play, and she completely ignores the cats in her foster home.

The ideal home for Little Gypsy is a quiet one, with a person or family looking for a happy, quiet little Aussie to be their best friend. Other dogs and cats are fine, but young children would be too much noise and energy for her! If this little gem sounds like the perfect addition to your family please apply!

Little Gypsy is fostered in Hendersonville, NC.

Gramaussie is the sweetest little old lady ever, and at age 15 finds herself without a home. This little 35 pound Aussie girl is hard of hearing, can't see quite as well as she used to and walks a bit stiffly thanks to some arthritis, but she can still find those dog biscuits, loves everyone and enjoys a daily nap in the sunshine. We have started treatment for her “aches and pains”, we are monitoring her progress and will post updates here!  Gramaussie is fostered near Ocala, Florida.  NS3283
H.S. Truman

Meet H.S. Truman (Truman), a very cute 5 yr old blue merle male mini. Truman is all of 20 lbs! This boy is pretty versatile, he's been lure coursing, dock diving, ok he had to jump from the dock to a float and then into the water to retrieve, but with a little practice who knows! He's also gone to an UP DOG disc dog competition and scored 9 points in 4-Way (game). He did well with meeting people at the event, even did pretty good with men, yes, he's one of those Aussies that prefers women, a real ladies man! He also likes to swim, go for walks and his weekly day at doggie day care. Truman is a nice size to travel with and does well too!
Truman would love a home with women (he loves women) or a man that will help him trust men (treats go a long way with this guy), no children please and we don't know how he is with cats. He would also do well with another dog, someone he could run and play with. Truman is house and crate trained.

HS Truman is fostered in Stuart, FL

Angie is a sweet, loving Aussie in search of her new home. She is about 6 years old, weighs 45 pounds and is a black tri with a full tail. Angie rides nicely in the car and walks quietly on leash. She knows some commands and has pretty good recall off leash! Angie loves her crate for naps and meals, but she can safely be left out of the crate when the family is away.
Angie loves people although she has no experience with very small children. We would describe her as a medium Velcro girl – she will follow her foster mom around the house and yard but she is also content to play quietly with a toy. We would also describe her as having medium energy. Angie LOVES to play fetch with any kind of ball, and while playing she has amazing energy and speed, but when playtime is over she settles nicely. Angie also gets along very well with other dogs. She has not been tested around cats.
Angie’s ideal home includes a family or person who has time for her – time to play, time to walk, time to cuddle. Ball time is a priority for her, and walks, hikes, car rides and maybe even a little “sofa time” would also be appreciated! Angie is heartworm positive, and her treatment will be complete in the second half of June. If you are looking for a quiet, gentle, happy companion, she may be the dog for you so apply today!

Angie is fostered in Johnston, SC.

Little Lilo is a petite black and white female Aussie mix who is every bit as sweet as she looks. She is 1 ½ to 2 years old and weighs just 27 pounds – a great weight! Lilo is housebroken, crate-trained, walks nicely on leash and rides very well in the car. She also knows her basic obedience commands.

Lilo loves people of all ages, including children. She loves to go for a walk around the neighborhood so that she can meet even more people! Lilo enjoys meeting other dogs and plays well with them, and she is respectful towards cats. But this high Velcro, medium energy little girl lives for people.

The ideal home for Lilo includes a person or family who is looking for a very best friend. Lilo is the perfect walking, strolling, playing, riding, sitting-in-the-sun buddy! Another dog is nice but not necessary, and a cat or two is fine. If Lilo sounds like your perfect new best friend apply today!

Lilo is fostered in Savannah, GA.

Young Boomer

Young Boomer is an amazing purebred Aussie who will soon be looking for a new home. This handsome red merle with blue eyes is 3 years old and weighs 50 pounds. Young Boomer is housebroken, crate-trained, rides nicely in the car and is still learning to walk on leash without pulling.

Young Boomer loves people of all ages, and he is great with children! He is a medium Velcro guy who loves to be near you but will also move to another room and toss a toy to himself if you are busy. Young Boomer loves other dogs and really enjoys a good romp in the yard. He is a medium energy dog with an “off switch” – outside he will play hard with his dog buddies and then settle nicely inside the house. He has not been cat tested.

Young Boomer is heartworm positive. He has started treatment and it is going very well! We expect that he will make a full recovery with no lasting effects, and he will be available for adoption later in June. We will be looking for a home for Young Boomer that includes an active person or family, another playful dog and a fenced yard, and children would be welcome. We are accepting applications now!

Young Boomer is fostered near Greensboro, NC.

Tarabella is a super sweet, super cute little Aussie ready for her new home! Weighing just under 40 pounds and 1 ½ years old, this pretty purebred red merle with no tail has one blue eye and one partially blue eye! Tarabella is housebroken, crate-trained, walks nicely on leash and rides very well in a car. She knows some commands and is a quick learner!

Tarabella loves people of all ages, and she does want to jump up on people and give face kisses. She is a medium Velcro girl who will follow her foster mom around the house for a while, but will then quietly play with her toys. Tarabella also loves other dogs and will play and play and….play! This medium energy girl loves to play hard with her dog buddies outside but then settles nicely in the house for an evening of snuggling. She does have a high prey drive, anxious to chase anything that moves, so she will require a home without cats.

The ideal home for Tarabella includes an active family who has the time to include this happy little girl in their lives. She is ready to be the best walking, hiking, toy-fetching girl ever! Another dog to romp with and a fenced yard to play in are important. Because she does jump on people, a home with children over the age of 10 would be best. If Tarabella sounds like your special dog apply today!

Tarabella is fostered in Cary, NC.

Huckle Barry

Huckle Barry is a happy, happy Aussie looking for a new home. This handsome dark sable purebred boy with no tail is 3-4 years old and weighs 50 pounds. Huckle Barry is housebroken, crate-trained and knows some basic commands. He has a high prey drive, and while he can walk nicely with a leash and harness, when he sees something of interest he pulls hard in that direction. He can also get overly excited when he meets other dogs while walking and so good leash control and redirecting his attention will be important.

Huckle Barry LOVES people and has never met a stranger – no typical Aussie reserve here! When not walking, hiking or playing fetch, he loves to join his foster family on the sofa for a nap or a few belly rubs. He is fine with most other dogs but his world is all about people. Due to his high prey drive, he cannot be in a home with cats, pet birds, pet squirrels, etc.

The ideal home for Huckle Barry includes an active person or family who is looking for a loyal, happy best friend and who has the time to continue his training to be the best dog ever. A fenced yard is a must, other dogs are not required, and because he practically bounces with happiness he would not be suited for a home with small children. If Huckle Barry sounds like your new best friend apply today!

He is fostered in Carrollton, GA.

 Apply here for him. NS3305

Sweet little Evy is an approximately 1 year old Aussie mix who still acts like a puppy. She's a little thing right now weighing in at about 17lbs., she does need to gain some weight! Evy is working on her housetraining and doing well, just make sure you are consistent in letting her out, she is also crate trained. Evy does sleep with her foster mom and has no potty issues at night. If you baby gate her she WILL jump over it, she's very athletic! She's been caught on the wrong side of the fence (baby gate) without any issues in the home, no destructiveness but I still wouldn't trust her.

Evy LOVES her toys and insists her new home have plenty. She also loves other dogs, but she does NOT want a cat in her home. Children over 12 may be ok, she is a little mouthy and a little one might not appreciate it. This girl is high energy and will need lots of exercise, she loves to go on walks, she may be a good jogging buddy. Obedience training is a must since she is so young acting. Evy might like to try agility and it's a great outlet for all that energy. This is not a lazy, stay at home and just play in the back yard sort of girl.

If you feel you have the time and energy for this sweet girl let's talk! Evy is fostered in Jacksonville, FL

Apply here for her.  NS3269

Marlin is a handsome 1 yr red tri male weighing 36 lbs . Marlin is a pretty active guy and will need some basic manners. He plays well with other dogs but can get a bit excited and start playing a bit rough. He is reported to be good with kids (we shall see). We are getting to know him and will post more as we learn more. Marlin will be fostered in Yulee, FL  NSXXXX
Billy Boy

Billy Boy is a friendly, happy Aussie mix who needs a home. He is 1 ½ - 2 years old, weighs just under 50 pounds and has a handsome red tri coat. Billy Boy is housebroken, crate-trained, walks nicely on leash and rides very well in the car. He is quickly learning his basic obedience commands.

Billy Boy loves people! He is a medium-energy, easy-going guy who enjoys going for walks, sniffing around the yard and just hanging out with his people. He has not shown a lot of interest in chasing a ball or playing with toys. He gets along great with other dogs but will chase cats.

Billy Boy had a rough start with us. As soon as he was rescued from a local shelter he was taken to the vet for surgery to remove a wad of plastic pieces and fibers that were caught in his stomach. Given how serious his surgery was, he is recovering with amazing speed and we expect that he will be fully recovered and ready for adoption mid-June. The ideal home for Billy Boy includes a loving person or family who is looking for an easy-going, happy-go-lucky young pal. A fenced yard is important and another dog is nice but not required. If Billy Boy sounds like your guy, apply today!
He is fostered near Myrtle Beach, SC.

Sweet Allie is a very cute and very shy Aussie mix who will soon need a new home. Brand new to our rescue, this little brindle stray with a tail was very frightened in the shelter, but she makes a lot of progress every day. The vet estimates her age at 7 months and she weighs just 22 pounds, so she will be a smaller dog when full grown. We have just started our evaluation so please check back as we post our updates. Sweet Allie is fostered in Cumming, GA.  NS3309
